On September 21, 2011, native Detroiter Natashua Sanders launched HER Detroit Magazine. The launch soirée was held at the Kacent Restaurant in Detroit. The Detroiters were very receptive and excited to take part and there was an out pour of support. This was a evening to remember, live entertainment, great food and the start of a new and innovative Detroit publication. Natashua Sanders shared her vision and love for Detroit in a heartfelt speech. She awarded all of the contributors of the magazine. Sanders also raised funds for “The Bethlehem House of Detroit”, at this event.
This magazine is sure to rise to the top. HER Detroit stands out above the rest; it showcases many talented African American women and men of Detroit. This publication is exciting, interesting and intriguing. HER isn’t just a book of pictures, this magazine keeps you engaged from the beginning to end.
